Invitational Team Racing Challenge, Porto Cervo | from 02/07 to 06/07

The Club’s Mediterranean base in Porto Cervo hosts an international team racing event for the first time. Some of the world’s top yacht clubs have been invited to compete a Bavaria B/One one-design vessels designed by Farr Yacht Design. Each club will be represented by two crews of four members each and a maximum of eight teams will be accepted. Each race will therefore see four yachts on the starting line – two teams with two boats each – and the last boat to cross the finishing line determines the losing team. The event gets underway on 2nd July with a practice day and will continue with a series of windward-leeward races before the semi-finals and then the finals leave only one team standing and one winning club.
