After a highly successful first event at the YCCS base in Virgin Gorda last year, the RC44 Championship Tour now visits Porto Cervo for the first time. Since its inception in 2007 the class has been going from strength to strength and the formula which allows amateur owner drivers to race high performance one-design yachts together with some of the world’s top sailors, in some of the most beautiful sailing venues around the world, is clearly a winning one. The boats will complete both coastal and windward-leeward courses and racing, as always in this highly competitive class, is set to be thrilling. Once back on shore, the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda will host a series of top-class social events to complement the action on the water.
