The 68th edition of the Tre Golfi Regatta, which saw around 100 boats competing, concluded yesterday. For the second year in a row, North Star owned by YCCS member Peter Dubens won in the Maxi division with a lead of about seven minutes in IRC compensated time over line honours winner and new record holder, Sir Peter Ogden's Maxi 77 Jethou.
The other Maxi 72s, fielding top-class crews, claimed four of the top five places in the IRC overall classification, while third place went to the Vallicelli 78 H20, owned by Riccardo di Michele, also a YCCS Member.
The 150-mile regatta from Naples to Sorrento, which passes by Ponza to the north and the Li Galli Islands to the south, was organised by the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia (CRVI) in collaboration with the International Maxi Association.
Congratulations from the YCCS on these excellent results.
