Porto Cervo, September 22 2022. With this morning’s briefing, Vela & Golf is officially underway. This traditional event, held since 2005, will conclude the YCCS annual sporting calendar.

This 16th edition of the event will see five teams participating including last year’s winner, the crew from the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (skipper skipper Germano Scarpa) that will be facing off teams from the Yacht Club de Monaco (skipper Roberto Tamburelli), the Yacht Club Punta Ala (skipper Alessandro Masini), the Marina Militare (skipper Aurelio De Carolis) and the Pevero Golf Club (skipper Riccardo Venezian).

Enrollments were finalized today and now teams are trying out the course and the boats. Tomorrow morning, Friday September 23rd, the teams will compete on the Pevero golf course then will sail using the YCCS fleet of J/70s on Saturday September 24th. The winner of the event will be the team that gets the most points from the sum of the results on the golf course and during the regatta.
