Porto Cervo, 19 May 2019. The 14th edition of the traditional Vela & Golf trophy concluded today and saw the team from Pevero Golf Club take victory. The event, organised by the YCCS with the support of technical partner Garmin Marine, saw the teams complete two days of competitions, first on the greens of Pevero Golf Club and today on the regatta course with a westerly wind of 16 to 18 knots.

Pevero Golf Club (skipper Giancarlo Coiana) clinched top scores in both the golf and sailing components, leaving the Yacht Club de Monaco (skipper Adalberto Miani), winner of the past three editions, in second place. Two points behind that in third place in the overall combined classification was Yacht Club Punta Ala (skipper Alessandro Masini). Teams from the Yacht Club Adriaco (skipper Alderico Paganini), Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (skipper John Ripard) and the Italian Navy (Alfredo Saitto) followed.

This first event on the YCCS sporting calendar for 2019 concluded this afternoon with the prize giving ceremony. Each member of the winning team also received a prize from Garmin Marine: a club tracker Approach®️ CT10, an instrument that can be paired with a Garmin Golf device to automatically trace performance and provide statistics.

The next race scheduled is the One Ocean Sailing Champions League taking place from 23 to 26 May.
