Palermo - Montecarlo

The twelfth edition of the Palermo-Montecarlo race is organized by the Circolo della Vela Sicilia and the Yacht Club di Monaco in collaboration with the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. This technically challenging regatta covers a 500 mile route across the Mediterranean Sea. From the Gulf of Mondello in Sicily the fleet crosses and obligatory gate off Porto Cervo and then chooses between crossing the notoriously windy Straits of Boniface  or sailing north to round Corsica and head for Monaco.
