Vela & Golf - Porto Cervo | from 22/05 to 24/05

Instituted in 2005, the Vela & Golf trophy traditionally marks the beginning of the summer season in Porto Cervo. The event brings together sailors and golfing enthusiasts for a weekend of competition on the renowned greens of Pevero Golf Club and the famed regatta course off Porto Cervo. The sailing component of the event consists of fleet races aboard the Smeralda 888 craft specially designed for the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda by naval architect German Frers. A maximum of six prestigious national and international golf and yacht clubs are invited to participate with teams of four members. The sum of the points gained by each team in the golf tournament and the regattas decrees the winning club.
