Registrations for the Sardinia Cup 2026 will remain open until 15 April 2026. Team nationality will be determined based on the location of the yacht club represented.
The Sardinia Cup 2026 programme will see racing get underway on 2 June with an opening coastal race, followed by an offshore race of approximately 150 nautical miles (estimated duration 24 hours). Two days of windward-leeward races and an additional coastal race will follow, before the final prize-giving ceremony on 7 June.
The Sardinia Cup, established in 1978 and strongly supported by then Commodore Gianfranco Alberini, returns after its last edition in 2012. The event, which helped establish the YCCS as a reference point in international yachting, was originally designed to alternate in even-numbered years with the Admiral's Cup, the prestigious British competition which made its return to the racing calendar this year.
