The Italian Sailing Federation’s (FIV) Sailor of the Year – Stars of Sailing 2026 awards ceremony was held on 7 May in Rome. YCCS Member Giovanni Lombardi Stronati was awarded the title of Owner-Helmsman of the Year for his outstanding results in 2025, including victory in the Rolex IMA Maxi Grand Prix World Championship in Porto Cervo, success at the Voiles de Saint-Tropez in the Maxi GP class and at the Tre Golfi. Founder and driving force behind the Django Team, he led the cohort representing Italy at the Admiral’s Cup, where he claimed third place overall.
