Porto Cervo, 23 May 2025. The Yacht Club Costa Smeralda's sporting season continues with the traditional Vela & Golf regatta, a fixture on the YCCS calendar since 2005. The event will run from 23^rd to 25^th May and will see the six participating teams compete first on the green of the Pevero Golf Club, before taking to the water aboard the Yacht Club's J/70 fleet.

The team from the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda will be captained by club member Germano Scarpa, and will be looking to defend wins claimed by the home team in the previous two editions. The other five participating crews are: Marina Militare (skipper Aurelio De Carolis), Pevero Golf Club (skipper Tommaso B. Carpaneto), Yacht Club Adriaco (skipper Alderico Paganini), Yacht Club Punta Ala (skipper Alessandro Masini), and Yacht Club de Monaco (skipper Roberto Tamburelli).

This morning, a briefing was held at the YCCS at the conclusion of registrations, following which participants enjoyed a Welcome Brunch.

The competition will start tomorrow on the green at Pevero Golf Club,  while Sunday 25^th May will see racing take place on the waters just off Porto Cervo. The winner of the event will be the crew that obtains the best overall score, based on the total of the results from the golfing competition and the regatta.
