The YCCS racing season opened in April with the debut of the Cape 31 class in the waters of Porto Cervo for the first leg of their Mediterranean circuit. Fourteen teams competed aboard the one-design yacht designed by Mark Mills with YCCS Member Lord Irvine Laidlaw. At the conclusion of three days of racing, Italian team Stig, owned by Alessandro Rombelli, claimed overall victory in the event. Michael Wilson’s Shotgunn took second, with Kalantis in third place.
