Great sailing and thrilling spectacles on the water marked the month of June and the first part of July. The YCCS season opened with the Vela & Golf event (26-28 May) and continued with the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, which gathered an impressive array of superyachts to parade among the islands of the La Maddalena Archipelago and enjoy exclusive social occasions ashore. Alongside the fleet of superyachts, boats from the Southern Wind yard also gathered in Porto Cervo for the 17th edition of the Southern Wind Rendezvous. After the briefest of pauses, it was then the turn of The Nations Trophy, with a fleet of almost 30 Swan one-design yachts competing in hard-fought battles at sea in spectacular weather conditions. Finally the Coppa Europa Smeralda 888, saw 11 Smeralda 888 boats assembled in Porto Cervo, a wonderful sight to admire sailing together in the waters of the Costa Smeralda.
